FOR WHO IS ZAMBIA?

For the safari lovers and the adventurers

For the experienced safari travellers who urge to be in remote places, filled with wildlife action

For the adventurer who feels comfortable doing safaris on foot (obvisouly 4x4 always available)

Do you like walking? Do you love the bush? And a true authentic safari experience?

Zambia is your thing. It’s ours too, by the way.

Compared to other more-populated African destinations, Zambia might feel like paradise. No crowds, and lots of wildlife. Some of the best national parks you can ask for will give you lots of action and incredible animal sightings. It’s also one of the countries where you can taste the essence of a true safari and do it on foot, hours on end. Not that there are no 4x4, because you always have that possibility. But if you feel at home in the bush, and in its natural sounds, this is your best adventure. Intimate, very authentic, and packed with great photographic moments.

It’s also a country that can offer the best of both worlds: a more affordable wilderness experience and the soothing lifestyle when you visit the Victoria Falls. Beautiful properties to stay at but also the chance to cruise in the river and spot, for example, families of elephants swimming in between grumpy groups of hippos.

Most of Zambia National Parks are easily accessed by light aircrafts, mostly leaving from Lusaka or Livingstone.

Only wild rhinos are missing here. Mostly everything else exists in vast amounts, depending on the national park you decide to visit. There are several zones to choose from: South Lwanga, Lower Zambezi, Kafue are only to name a few, and each offers great wildlife sightings, as well as different experiences: from walking, to boat, canoe and 4x4. And even balloon.

One should visit at least two different national parks in Zambia and the Victoria Falls. We advise at least 8 days.

Going into the Victoria Falls for radical sports experiences such as rafting; walking a lot (even on safari), visit a rhino project or an elephant orphanage, go canoeing, fishing… Zambia is mainly a safari destination and can be combined with Mozambique for a beach experience.

Avoid the rainy season only because many camps are closed during that time. It’s better to avoid Zambia between November and May if rain is not your thing.
