FOR WHO IS KENYA?

For the families, the romantics who dream of an Africa with endless plains and animals in them

For those who are open to combine a stay between a private property and a safari company lodge

For those who want to see the Big 5

For those who are keen on having different adventures besides safaris on a 4x4

For those who want a beautiful beach break

For the first-timers in Africa, the movie-inspired people, the ones that want to see the Big 5, or the Big Tuskers, or the Great Migration…. For the Europeans that can get there in only 7 hours (with maximum a couple hours time difference) Kenya checks all of these boxes.

Kenya is so famous as a safari destination that we might feel like we have been there without ever setting a foot in Africa. It’s on almost every docu-series about wildlife, not to mention some famous movies.

It’s a country of contrasting landscapes and iconic imagery. You can have cultural experiences, relax at beach resorts on the Indian Ocean coast, visit inspiring wildlife conservation projects, stay in beautiful properties and tented camps, get lots of wildlife action, have breakfast with giraffes in more than one place, do full day helicopter excursions into remote areas, see lakes, flamingos, rhinos, lions. cheetahs and, sometimes, get quite a few species in one same picture frame! Made for family trips, quite child friendly, Kenya is a country that offers so much to do that it’s hard to beat as a destination.

You can travel by car but most visitors will take a light aircraft to visit different regions of the country.

Nothing seems to be missing in Kenya, and you can also visit some great wildlife conservation projects in here. Rhinos, cheetahs, wild dogs, the famous Great Migration and great birding variety. The animal list is endless.

Safaris in Kenya can be done in different ways, depending on the places you choose to stay; on the back of a horse, on foot, on a car or balloon… only to name a few alternartives.

There is so much to see and do in Kenya that we advise at least 7 nights in the country… although it can -and should- easily stretch for a few weeks vacation.

When it comes to life on the bush, and depending of the parks you visit and the properties you stay at, Kenya is one of the countries that offers the most variety of activities: from camel rides to horseback riding. from trekking and hiking, to full day helicopter tours or community visits. There is a lot one can do.

Nairobi is also a good stop for there are things to visit in the capital such as the Sheldrick Foundation or the Karen Blixen Museum.

And then there is a long coast line bordered by the Indian Ocean, with beautiful beach properties to stay at for a relaxed sunny vacation.

April and May tend to be rainy season so we would advise people to avoid those months.
